Winning with SDG7

SDG7 Sustainable Development Goal #7 is the 7th Goal from the United Nations on the World development plans.

The statement says – SDG7 = To ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

Did you know 759 Million people have no access to electricity. And that 3 out of 4, that’s 570 Million live in Sub Saharan Africa.

Also a third of the World cook with inefficient and dangerous cooking systems. This includes cooking with wood.

We must make SD7 Sustainable Development part of our World plans

SDG7Despite significant progress over the past decade on improving access to electricity with the use of renewable energy the World is still falling short on its yearly targets on providing affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

Clean and sustainable energy should be at the heart of the COVID-19 response and its efforts to combat climate change. Solar and wind energy can be part of that progress and development.

We are making some progress, global access to electricity increased from 83% in 2010 to 90% in 2019.
In numbers this means that we had 1.22 billion people in 2010 with no electricity but still in 2019 we had 759 million people with no access to electricity.

Eos Solar Solutions want to be part of this change.

Clean Cooking Alliance

Clean Cooking AgendaAlso in 2019 66% of the population now have access to clean cooking.
The remaining 34% or 2.6 billion people still cook on polluting fuels and not only damage the environment but they cause long term damage the people as well. So from a health point of view this should be prioritized.

Here at Eos Solar Solutions we want to be part of that, with clean electricity and assisting the clean cooking alliance

Clean CookingThe goal is by 2030 the entire World should have access to clean electricity and clean cooking facilities.
