Hybrid inverters with battery charging

Hybrid Inverters for Home or Workshop
Hybrid Inverters Here at Eos Solar Solutions we are pleased to be working with some of the best Brands in the UK on Home Inverters and Batteries. These are Victron, Solis, Alpha Smile and
Solax.
To help you understand the Inverter types here is a very simplified explanation.
Grid Tied
Converts the Solar Panel power to 240v AC for your home or workshop. As the sun goes down it automatically switches to the Grid Power so you dong go into the dark as well. As the sun comes up the next day. The Inverter takes power from the Solar Panels and you are back to FREE electricity.
Hybrid – See the range below
These work the same as Grid Tied in the day, but they also send some power to a Battery. Then when the sun goes down the Inverter switches to the Battery. And the FREE electricity continues.
AC Chargers
Now you have had your Grid Tied system for a few years and you want to upgrade, then an AC Charger is the way to go, you keep your inverter and the AC Charger will charge the Battery. It will switch between the Battery and the Solar Panels just like the Hybrid.

Did you know?
Back in 1958 solar cells were first used in a prominent application when they were proposed and flown on the Vanguard satellite. This was an alternative power source that would compliment the primary battery power source.
So by adding solar cells to the outside of the satellite body the mission time could be greatly extended with no major changes to the satellite or its power systems.
Then finally In 1959 the United States launched the satellite Explorer 6. And this features a large wing-shaped solar arrays, which became a common feature in all satellites after this .
These arrays consisted of 9600 Hoffman solar cells.

Off Grid
As it says, Off Grid. You have no electricity supply from the grid, a camping shed in the woods or the office at the bottom of the garden. You need Off Grid Power.
Hybrid
You have some power from the grid but sometimes you don’t. You need Hybrid. If you have power you are good, if the power goes off the system switches to the battery’s and with most systems you would not even notice.
You can then recharge the Battery’s with the Solar Panels when then sun is out, the Hybrid system sorts it all out for you.
Now a Hybrid system can also work if you have a reliable grid power supply, you program it to only use the Battery and recharge them with the Solar Panels. It will only draw power from the grid when it needs to. Most house systems are like this.
Now some systems can also handle a small Generator, so if the grid goes off and the Battery’s go flat.. It turns on the Generator. But now we are getting clever…
